Timeline: One month
Team: Ha D.H. Le & Victoria Lin (co-chairs); Crimson arts executives, staff writers, photographers, and designers

Focusing on the curricular arts

As chairs of The Harvard Crimson’s arts section in 2016, Victoria Lin and I oversaw the production of “The Creative Classroom,” the first themed supplement published by our section during the spring semester. The issue considers students’ artistic pursuits and relatively unknown applications of the arts in classes. Articles include: spotlights on undergraduate theses across the humanities departments at Harvard; interviews with professors that bring new perspectives into the arts; and stories on creative writing at Harvard, alumni who have pursued the arts in their careers, and “Deriving the Right Note,” a feature-length investigation into the application of the arts in one part of the engineering department.

Published April 26, 2016. Writing contributed by Charlotte L.R. Anrig, Rebecca H. Dolan, Shaun V. Gohel, Elizabeth C. Keto, Tianxing V. Lan, Ha D.H. Le, Trevor J. Levin, Grace Z. Li, Victoria Lin, Hanaa J. Masalmeh, Patric C.W. Verrone, J. Thomas Westbrook, and Qianqian Yang. Print issue designed by Tiffany Lam, Ujunwa S. Nwosu, Nathan A. Cummings, Vera Jin, Simon Sun, Alice Tan, Natalie Vega, Vivian W. Wan, and Jessica Zhu. Proofed by Meg P. Bernhard.
