Improved the annual arts year-in-review.

Client: The Harvard Crimson
Timeline: One month
Team: Ha D.H. Le & Victoria Lin (co-chairs); Crimson arts executives, staff writers, photographers, and designers

Reflecting on the pop culture and campus arts of 2016

At the end of every year, The Harvard Crimson’s arts section publishes a year-in-review. The special issue ranks and reviews the best artistic outputs of the year, as determined by a campus-wide survey distributed throughout the month of November, while also satirizing the arts section and its writers through vanities, (tongue-in-cheek humor pieces written by the editorial staff). For 2016, arts co-chair Victoria Lin and I expanded on previous iterations of the year-in-review by adding more categories to rank, increasing our social media campaign to obtain survey responses, and improving the online design of the supplement. Our efforts resulted in an increase in Harvard affiliates polled and a higher amount of readership for the special issue when compared to earlier years.
